What is Parkinson´s disease?

Living with Parkinson’s disease can be a challenge.

It is a common neurodegenerative disorder that affects the part of the brain that controls the movement of the body. It can come on slowly that it is not notable at first. Although over time, what starts as a little hand shakiness can have an impact on the walking, talking, sleeping, and thinking. It is more likely to get it at the age of 60 and older. There's no cure for Parkinson's disease, but there is treatment to help manage the symptoms (1).
